We met in high school, during a social studies class. It was the first day of school and the teacher gave a test just to see how much everyone knew about geography. Since I was not very good at geography, Michael, being such a sweetie, let me know where a couple of the countries on my map were! After that day Michael and I became study buddies, and later began dating.

After high school, we both decided to go to college at UMC. We continued dating there and soon Michael and I began seriously talking about getting married. We had taken several trips to the jewelry store so we could start deciding what kind of ring we liked. The day before the proposal, Michael told me that it would be a while before he popped the question so he could save up for the ring. Little did I know that he already had plans to pick the ring up the next day!

The next day, Michael took me to our favorite restaurant, Olive Garden, and right there in the middle of the restaurant with everyone watching, Michael got down on one knee and proposed. As everyone was turning to watch, he pulled out the ring, and surprised, but thrilled, I said, "YES!"
